I came in with my wife to check for cataracts. Staff so far are very good and we only had to wait 5 minutes before seeing the technician. Dr. Marten is excellent!
My daughter had an unusual test result during her regular optometry appointment. STEI worked her in the very next afternoon. They spent several hours exploring every possible reason for the abnormalities and fully explained their reasoning each step of the way. Additionally, their offices are lovely, with spacious seating and complimentary coffee, water, and snacks. Dr. Lisa Marten was knowledgeable, patient, and thorough; a reassuring combination for an apprehensive patient. We're very grateful.
Everyone is very patient with my mother who is 90 years old and is hard of hearing. I come with her for general eye check-ups. The staff is very caring and Dr. Connor explains in detail what is going on with her vision.
We absolutely would suggest South Texas Eye Institute. I came in to see Dr. Marten because of my dry eye and that I wake up in the morning and I see blurry which then clears up during the day. I have not had my eyes checked in a while and am now finally able to. My husband has his checked here too and is pleased with Dr. Marten.
The support & transparency is wonderful! All of the staff is so nice! Not like other clinics, not just another customer & Dr. Marten is very involved throughout! Would highly recommend!
My regular doctor suggested I come here for an eye exam. It has been 4 years since I had one. I would say everyone I met working at South Texas Eye Institute is polite. Most of the time at other locations staff are rude. I feel welcomed here.
My journey to the South Texas Eye Institute began with my husband having PRK surgery. He despised glasses and refused to wear them so often that we considered laser surgery to be his best course of action. Within the first moments of his appointment, I was undeniably impressed. While checking his eyes and discussing the types of options available, the staff addressed every question, concern or fear he voiced. Not only that but every test was verified for the best reading. If something didn’t look right or seemed questionable... read more
Best thing I ever did. Cataract surgery and vision already 20/50. Going for the monofocal vision. Hopefully, no glasses or readers.
I had 2 cataracts in my eye from cancer that was treated successfully. The the staff are patient and cooperative, and know what they are doing. If you ask a question, they will answer your question in clear way. They even send you texts to remind you of your appointment. The front staff treats you with respect and they are patient. I love this place!
