RecommendedI appreciate the fact that I am able to get an eye appointment in right away when I had an eye infection. I have been coming here for general eye care the past 5 years. Everyone is nice here.
I've worn contacts and glasses for over 20 years. From the first LASIK consult I had with Dr. Marten, I knew I found the perfect place. Staff is extremely friendly and well educated. I always left feeling good about my decision to go here. The LASIK procedure was easy, quick and painless. The few hours afterwards are tough but shore lived. It's amazing to be able to wake up and see the clock, my kids, etc. I strongly recommend this institute for anybody looking for an eye doctor or possible LASIK surgery.
I saw Dr. Marten for a cataract follow-up. Praise God and Dr. Marten! Thank you for my vision! I can see 20/15 and feel like the colors are more vibrant. I can also see at night driving. That my husband's concern, me driving at night. He would test me and asks if can I see an object that he points to and I can see it very well!
I went to see Dr. Marten for an eye check-up because I used to have flashes in my eye. Thankfully I did not need surgery and they went away with time. I was given eye drops to help with my dry eyes too. My activities that require eye sight are consistent. I would suggest coming to South Texas Eye Institute too. I am very satisfied with the service. I feel like I am treated like I am somebody and not just a number!
The service at SouthTexas Eye Institute is always great. The staff are really attentive to your needs. I have been going here the past 5 years for general eye care. I have seen Dr. Marten and she was the one who actually told me that I had monovision and that I don't need contacts or glasses.

Great attitude, welcoming, and helpful front staff. Technicians are informative and down to earth, they took their time with you and are professional. Experience with doctor was good and she explained everything and answered all questions during my exam.
I had an laser eye procedure done by Dr. marten to remove pressure in my eye. I am happy with the outcomes.
