When our family founded Southland Sod Farms, we pledged to take whatever extra steps were necessary to cultivate the healthiest, most beautiful sod ever available in Southern California. We’ve been in the sod business for over 40 years now, and even after our initial success, the Gramckow family promise continues to innovate and improve.

This is my story: I purchased 1150 sqft of grass for my front yard. Unfortunately something went wrong with the entire grass. I was Sadly and devastated. I did not know what to do, I contacted the place where I purchased it and I got in touch with Norm your representative. He went to visit my home . Norm gave me a new grass. I had a problem in a few areas in my yard which had Marathon II. I called Southland Sod Farms and expressed my concerns. They sent out Norm Lopez who took time to examine the site and recommend solutions. He was great!
The gentleman I worked with was John Dimenici. He was very professional and courteous. John listened as I shared my current lawn issues. He recommended a fertilizer that my current lawn professionals did not want to apply. They did follow my instructions as John shared. My lawn hasn’t looked this green and healthy for a long time. Excellent service! I had an issue where the installer didn't do things correctly so I had other grasses growing through the new grass. I reached out to Southland and was directed to speak with Nor. He reached out to my installer immediately and spoke to him about what needed to be done. It was a process for the installer to fix things but Norm was right there through the whole process and took care of things! I highly recommend this company and 10 stars for Norm! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I can’t believe I had a house call with Norm! I had a question about fertilizer so I reached out to Norm he responded right away and answered my questions! I sent him a picture of my lawn he said it looked great! He texted me back saying he was going to stop by and leave me a water measuring cup and I said cool! He told me 2pm and he showed up on time ! We had some concerns about our new St Augustine grass and I called Southland Sod Farms, where the sod came from. The Rep, Norm Lopez, came out the same day and looked at our grass. He told us what we needed to do and kept in contact with us. He actually stopped by recently to look at our lawn. I would give Southland Sod and Norm Lopez 5 Stars!!! They have a great product and outstanding customer service. They really care.

I decided to re-seed my lawn using MarathonII and had some concerns with germination and irrigation as the lawn was not showing improvement in the time that would usually show signs of growth. I had called Southland Sod Farms and they referred me to Renato the area Marathon Representative and he setup a time to stop by and give me his suggestions to improve germination and in a short time after the lawn showed signs of growth.
