Renato was very helpful. He offered professional advice regarding the proper method of killing off st. augustine prior to re-sodding with marathon. His advice will likely prevent any infiltration of the old grass into the new grass, which would have potentially ruined my new lawn. I’m thankful for the time he took to educate me.

Renato De Sousa was exemplary at representing Southland Sod Farms. I couldn’t believe how quickly he responded to my message. I really wasn’t expecting much when I called, other than him answering a few questions. When he suggested that he could come to my house and get a first hand look, I was pleasantly surprised. I had to write this review about the exceptional customer service I got from Renato, the field rep, from Southland Sod. It’s so rare these days for a company to care about their customers and their product. We put Marathon II sod in several years ago and for the fist time we had some areas that were looking sparse. I called Southland and they put me directly in touch with their seed and sod specialist who comes to your home to assess your lawn! Wow. We never knew Southland offered this service. Sometimes our field reps need to take a look at the problem firsthand to get better details. We truly want our customers to love their lawns. You're right, Marathon is hearty. green-all-year variety, that requires minimal care (fert & water). All of us here at the farm appreciate your continual support.
They are great during and, I think even more importantly, after the sale. Definitely go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied. We had a patch that was getting discolored. They got us what we needed pretty the next day. Rinato was very helpful. Appreciate the customer service!

Norm was very knowledgeable and helpful and guided throughout the repair of our lawn and continued to check in after everything was complete.
Renato is extraordinarily knowledgeable about lawns including irrigation, lighting and seed types. He is super nice and very patient in answering my questions and explaining to me how to take the best care of my lawn. Renato's level of expertise is far beyond what I get in my local garden center. I called Southland’s 800 number regarding my lawn’s turf as I had a few questions and they transferred me to Renato. Renato was AMAZING! I told him that my time was pretty tight and I needed advice on my Marathon seeding. He came to my place same day and took a look. He was very communicative and arrived on time.
