Lunch out to celebrate my daughter and her boyfriend’s birthdays. Great varied menu, excellent portion sizes and delicious food. The staff came out with a brownie and a candle to sing happy birthday, was a great experience
Really lovely place! Best roast I’ve had in ages!! Piano man playing was charming. Just a lovely experience!

Excellent service, food and ambience. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
This is the second time we have come for a Saturday morning breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The choice is great with some unusal offerings such as the crispy zucchini with smoked salmon and poached eggs and devon crab Eggs Benedict. This time we both had a full English which was generous and beautifully presented. The coffee is really good and the service is impeccable (proper old fashioned waitering and really friendly). Great food , we chose to sit outside on a slightly chilly afternoon, and the heaters were automatically put on for us, and we had rugs for our legs. Our young waiter was very attentive and friendly.

A lovely meal, great food and excellent service. It was thoughtful of the staff to sing Happy Birthday along with a surprise dessert. A really nice touch.

Great and attentive staff. Lovely ambience with the pianist. Food so-so. Starters great. Mains were below par and gave the impression of being microwaved. Toilets filthy and didn’t flush. Disconcerting also when going to the loo to be able to see through an open door to the kitchen. Mains not good value for money. Overall a little disappointing. And more effort needed to explain when sides are and aren’t needed.

Food was lovely and the staff were very patient as we had a friend who was delayed. They supported by keeping her food warm in the kitchen. Main problem was that we were sat by a large table of families celebrating babies / toddlers birthday’s and the children spent most of their time screaming and crying. Not the restaurants fault, but suggest you ask if there are any children’s birthday parties being hosted there if you’re looking for a civilised lunch where you can have a conversation with your friends.
