Horrible. Made rude and condescending comments all three times we have been there. Has absolutely zero idea how to manage patients with dental anxiety. He will quickly shunt you out to expensive sedation dentistry because he doesn't want to deal with it. He ignored me while trying to talk to him about my anxiety so I walked out. I arrived to my appointment this morning 5 minutes before my appointment time . I was told the dentist was running 15.minutes behind so i sat and waited. I was then told that the dentist was farther behind then they thought and they would have to reschedule, after i had been sitting there 20 minutes.
Being asked to leave a review for an appointment I haven't had because they cancelled it. Great dentist, really frustrating office staff and proceedures.
My wife was having a terrible time with existing dentist and being charged double to have a cap put on after a root canal. We called McKane, gave them the codes for the procedures. They quoted a better price and told her to bring her records and X-rays. They'd be glad to help. She did all that and after a few days she called to follow up and they told her they don't work on a tooth that's already in treatment! Why didn't they tell her that up front? Office is a circus side show!!!
Use to go to THE OTHER large practice in Damascus,8-10 dentist. They claimed to take my insurance , after the whole family went there said we take your insurance, just don't honor their rates, they're too low. ?? so they want as many patients as the insurance company can refer but won't honor their side of the contract. I made them honor the price and had the insurance company dropped their practice from the list. Now I go to Dr. McKane. Never a billing issue, prices match plan, great dentist.
Dr. McKane never speaks directly to you.Stands behind you & talks to the back of the chair. His staff has made numerous billing mistakes-not one bill I received was ever correct. I was always told Just ignore that bill, we will correct and send another.Would have taken my $750 if I had not called?! One of the front desk staff has said he would investigate what my insurance will cover for a certain procedure 3 times and I never heard back. Now refusing to send records to new dentist. STAY AWAY!

Everyone is well aware of this person. I have a hard time speaking in front of you when you are being condescending/rude. Bill in question was patient's son and it was fixed when we finally got the right insurance information from the patient. Office told you how much your simple filling would cost and you broke four different appointments to do the filling. More than happy to send your records anywhere you want but you actually have to request them-not just talk about it on this site.
