BRING YOUR CAR HERE! Express auto service is a fair and honest mechanic. This place was recommended to me when I moved here two years ago and I have never had to go anywhere else. They always fix my car in a timely manner and I am always quoted a fair price with options. It is a family run business and Dave and Connie are the best!

Found them as I had recently moved to the area. I decided to use Yelp to help me find a decent and honest mechanic. Boy, did I choose wisely. The mechanics there are quite knowledgeable, and there has never been an occasion in which they did not know how to solve a problem. They are so honest that once when a warning light came on in my car, they did the tiny repair and reset the light. They said that it was so minor that they were not charging me! Needless to say I have been bringing my car there ever since.

I completely agree with every 5-star review of Express Auto - including Yelp's definition of 5 stars: 'Woohoo! As good as it gets!" This completely describes Express. Car repair shops are always pretty intimidating - usually I have no idea if what a car place diagnoses is true or if the estimates are based on real costs with a reasonable markup/labor charge (everybody deserves to make a living). I couldn't image a better auto repair experience than what I received at the family run business that is Express Auto Service. Unlike my experience at other shops, Dave was very trustworthy from the start. He didn't try to upsell me on anything that wasn't needed and I got a great value for my money. I live in Ramona so it is a bit of a drive for me but I will never go to another shop. Thank you Bennett family.

These are wonderful people! I took my Jeep in to have the alternator replaced, and after fixing it they even took it next door to DEKRA to check if it would now pass smog. When they called to let me know the work was done, they were also able to give me the FABULOUS news that it had FINALLY smogged! The work is done right, in a timely manner, and at a fair price. I know I can count on them to treat me right with any future car repairs.

Great place!! Family owned and they treat every customer with respect. I have been coming here for about 6 years now and they NEVER disappoint. It is very refreshing to find a mechanic now a days that you can trust and build a relationship with.

I took my Acura here after driving to San Diego from Arizona. My car started to make a noise during the drive, and I wanted to get it checked out before making the drive back to Arizona. The owners were friendly and helpful. They checked out my car and determined that it was safe to drive back to Arizona, no repairs required. Much to my surprise, I was not charged at all for the visit. They looked at the car, took it for a drive, and spent time talking with me. I would absolutely recommend Express Auto Service to anyone.

I started taking my first Hybrid here in 09 or so, after seeing the positive reviews on the Car Talk "find a mechanic " part of their web site, and boy am I glad I did!!! I have saved hundreds of dollars on major services every time I have gone in. Dave knows hybrids inside out, so don't waste your money at dealers unnecessarily. I recently also had some custom lowering done, and paid almost half of what the dealer wanted.
