They are runnjg a shabby business there. I droved my prius in for an engin oil service by purchase from Groupon in earlier this year, but unlike other service place asked me to pay $10 extra, at other place the extra charge is $7 and $8. This was a bad sign already, but I just want to get it done so. i said it is ok. Then I walked around and they told me that my car could be ready in an hour or so. But when I walked around and they called me and told me that they need to change my brakes. The cost is more than $900. I... read more

Business response:

Rongguo, We find it pretty unfortunate that you felt the need to leave us a negative review and accuse us of being a “shabby” business. When we provide an oil change, as a courtesy, we also inspect the vehicles to let our customers know of any possible issues they may want to be aware of. We do not force any of these repairs on our customers or do them without approval. When we find an issue, we let our customers know and also offer to show them the issue so they can inspect it on their own. They then have the option to eith... read more

Completely overcharge for their services. Very poor communication. I had to keep calling to follow up, quoted time was completely inaccurate. I told a friend how I felt like I was overcharged and my experience to find out they had the same experience as well as a friend of theirs when going to this shop.

Business response:

Danielle, It is unfortunate that you believe we overcharged you for services. We are competitively priced with our local shops and our hourly rates are clearly posted in our shop. Any time we take a vehicle in to be worked on, we give each of our clients an estimate of the cost for repairs. From there, our clients either sign off on the estimate or are welcome to choose to do the work elsewhere. We do not force anybody to get repairs done at our shop, but we stand behind all of our work 100%. If you had work done in our shop... read more

Absolutely believe Ali is a crooked, lying smooth-talker. Had an oil leak, told me I needed rear main seal, oil pan gasket and other 'repairs' totaling $3800+. He even 'showed' leaking with vehicle on the Lift. After I STUPIDLY believed him and PAID, the LEAK IS STILL THERE. But when I brought it back, Ali claims 2 DIFFERENT HUGE repairs needed, including Transmission. HE IS VERY SMOOTH. I truly believe he is lying. I personally spoke with 2 others who had similar experiences at Ray's. Look at the reviews here and you'll s... read more

Katherine, It is unfortunate you feel that we have earned a less than satisfactory review for the service we provided to you on your 1991 Dodge Dakota almost 10 months ago. When you brought your truck the first time, it was a mess due to a major oil leak. With your permission, you allowed us to clean the engine to identify where the oil leak was coming from. We found and showed you the leak on the rear main seal and also showed you that the engine oil pan gasket and the oil pump should also be replaced. On your authorizatio... read more

Dropping it down for the hard push to change my review from the manager after the slow service. Plus their COVID procedures were pretty lax.

Business response:

Brian, thank you so much for taking the time to leave honest feedback! We hope you come back again in the future

I had a very bad experience here. Would not recommend. I took my volkswagen to Ray's because of the good reviews for an oil change and checkup. They found 3 things wrong with my car and quoted $3000 in repairs (front axle, all four shocks), this is excluding an engine oil leak that they could not determine the source of, so they recommended a power wash of the engine for $250 first. They said I needed to do this within the next few days for safety. This of course unnerved me as my car is only worth $5000. I spent the next tw... read more

I took my car to rays auto repair in September 2014, I heard of them by a friend whom after I got my car "repaired" by them had problems a couple of months later. I had a timing belt water pump combo done and before they started I asked for old parts as a curiosity of the condition of said parts after a 100,000 miles. Wilfred Velasco ignored my calls and was indignant about removing my car from his shop after it was ready, the tone in which he conveyed his message was not business professional like. I had similar experience ... read more

Lack of ethics or lack of knowledge (or both)? Nice family-run business which I love to support. I found these guys on Yelp, so I decided to complete a follow up review. Ray's Auto fixed my original issue (temporarily). However, they used a water hose (so a water-based product) for an oil-based application. Consequently, the hose failed and caused additional damage to the engine (starved the pump of fluids due to the hose failure). The engine made a strange noise, but Will said it was normal given the age of the car. ... read more

Reasonable prices but that's it. They left my car a mess though - interior smudges on the leather, felt door panel and sun visor. Ventilation system now spews misty gunk on the windows often. Never going back.

Business response:

We take great pride in keeping our client's vehicles clean. Sadly cars can be very dirty underneath and in the engine compartment leaving us with grease/dirt that can be easily tracked into the car. While we use seat covers and floor covers we still ask all of our client's to just let us know if a smudge was left and we will gladly take care of it.
