The wait staff on the beach, especially Jose, was the best we have ever had and we have been to Cancun 25 times. All of the staff was wonderful which made this trip special. The beach is incredible and the rooms were remodeled nicely. Another big plus for me is that they had excellent decaffeinated coffee available at breakfast which is highly unusual anywhere in the Carribean, I usually settle for a packet of Sanka and hot water or bring my own and make it in the room. Staff
I would stay at Sunset Royal again. The front desk staff where nice and helpful. The hotel was modern , very clean and the food was good as well. I think they should have more nightly entertainments. Overall it is a friendly resort, has a great time
Location for this resort is great. Walking distance to the entertainment area. Staff was friendly. This resort is lacking some basic necessities such as dinner buffet. Only 2 nights is there a dinner buffet, the rest you have to wait to be seated and there can be a long wait to eat. No swim up bar and only 1 pool. Great entertainment and fun nightly shows for free. Don't be surprised by the high hotel fees and taxes upon arriving, much higher than the rest.
