They always do well with my two large dogs! The dogs come home exhausted after playing all day. It's great to be able to trust these folks.

Our rescue dog was very skittish and barked at everything, making walks difficult. We watched a ton of YouTube videos which all said mostly the same thing but we had a hard time applying the methods and getting them to work. We found several well-reviewed dog trainers but got sticker shock. We then found Taurus who sent out a trainer for a more than reasonable fee to show us what we were doing wrong in our application of the training. She was awesome. A huge thank you to Lindsey and the whole Burnet Road staff that jumped through hoops when my pup needed some extra care during a planned business trip. They put the care of my baby as well as the safety of all their other pups in top priority. They displayed a true kindness and affection for my pup and went above and beyond the call of duty. We love taking our dogs here! Couldn't recommend this place enough. They take great care of our dogs and give them a great amount of attention.

I love this place so much! We have a pittie mix and a super mutty not sure what he is mix that is nervous by nature. Sci has been rejected by daycares because of his breed and Boone because of his nervous energy. I was so thrilled to learn about how play groups are built specifically for the dog and that Taurus does not discriminate based on breed. Sci can hang out with a group that matches his personality and Boone can hang out with the people because he doesn't want to play with the dogs. I really appreciate their approach... read more

I can't say enough about this location. My dog was so excited - she knew what days she went to Taurus. She got so smart that she thought she could act like we were going in the morning, so she could go every day. They sent me pictures of her on my birthday when I was out of town to celebrate. I was even sad about moving away to give her, her first yard because she was leaving Taurus Burnet. But, they threw her a little going away party when she left to join South Lamar Taurus. My wife, Carolyn and I love the Burnet location of Taurus Academy! That is where our Australian Shepherd, Lincoln was trained as a pup, enjoys random play days and gets boarded when we have to go out of town and leave him. Lincoln is epileptic, and the wonderful staff at Taurus Burnet - Lindsey, Maggie, Debbie, Mackenzie, etc. are so patient and gracious with Lincoln. We took our rescue pup to Tarus Acadamy for 2 week puppy 'boot camp'. I was stricken with the thought of leaving her for an extended time but it was SO worth it. I was amazed at her progress over that period of time. The staff is AMAZING, explained their process to our entire family (including a 5 yr old).
