Let me just begin by saying that when I was looking for a dog boarding place I encountered 2 things. 1) People said Taurus was amazing 2) People said the quality of Taurus had declined. The second group was COMPLETELY WRONG. I have tried 2 other boarding/play day places in Austin and Taurus beats them hands down. The facility is clean, open and very furr-friendly. This review is long overdue. I have a 2 year old Havanese. Her breed is know to be a little more stand offish when it comes to partying with other dogs. We moved here from Cali, I found Taurus and began bringing Bella here for Play Days. At first she was reluctant to go with them. We boarded Bella for almost a week and that changed everything. My dog Darwin absolutely loves coming here!As a 3 year old pit mix he has a lot of energy and I am so happy we have Taurus in our life. I absolutely trust the good folks at this facility to care for my pup and to enrich his life/keep his entertained while I work my long days. Mornings when we drive here Darwin gets excited because he knows where he is going and how much fun it will be. This place is awesome! My dog loves it and I love its because my dog gets home tired. Staff is great and I will recommend it to anyone looking for someone to take care of there best friend. Buddy and I thank you !
I was very impressed with the staff & the training. All good things to say. Super clean, very professional staff & knowledgeable. I would highly recommend you using them. My 5 mos. old lab puppy returned after 2 weeks of training..... a complete different puppy. I feel so confident with the "after training" support. A "shout out" to Viri Cereceres!

We left our pups at Taurus for a long weekend and they loved it. From the "tryout" day to the real deal overnight boarding, the entire experience was pleasant. The facility is clean, the staff is nice, and they even give your dogs a report card that highlights their performances. We will use Taurus again as needed. Nice people, great facility, good central location (off Burnet, or many other locations in Austin), and they treat your pups like royalty. Highly recommend.

With my living arrangements and lack of neighborhood dog parks, plus the Texas heat and having to work I decided that I wanted my pup, Casanova, to have some extra play time. After much research, amazing reviews, a recommendation friend/neighbor, and a wonderful orientation I decided on Taurus Academy on Burnet. I adopted a dog from the shelter with...issues. Thankfully Taurus had just opened in my hood! I had heard great things about this place but I have to say my expectations were exceeded. Jeff, Rachel, Viri and the rest of the "pack" are literally the nicest people I have ever met. Cooper and both fell in love. No hesitation in giving this place 5 stars.

Our dog, Ruby, spent the weekend at Taurus while we were out of town. After arriving she got sick (caused by the heart worm medicine we gave her the day before). The staff at Taurus burnet road location went above and beyond to make sure our dog was safe, well cared for and comfortable. They took her to a vet out of concern and stayed in constant communication with us during our trip. Additionally they were kind and patient - never acted like this was a burden.
