I first ate at Ted's Bulletin on 8th SE when it first opened. I have not been to this site for years. I have eaten at Ted's Bulleting on 14th St NW numerous times over the years. The 8th Street location does not compare favorably to the 14th St location. It was dark. Loud. It appeared as if it had not been painted/stained/updated in years. The bathroom was not clean. The back area by the bathrooms was less than appealing.
Ted's always delivers great food and it's a beautiful place to meet with friends. The noise level's a bit much for our getting-elderly ears, though. It would be nice if it was a bit quieter so we could hear each other talk.
Very good food, attentive staff - would definitely eat here again.
I went to lunch with two friends who have some mobility issues and some food issues. The restaurant graciously seated us in a window table near the entrance and was patient and accommodating with all requests. The menu is capacious and while my companions were quite satisfied with their choices (chicken piccata and a Greek salad with shrimp) I was underwhelmed by the breakfast burrito with pieces of tough, tasteless flank steak in it though it was a satisfying eat. Another winning meal! Perfect way to start the day. Ervin is a very attentive server with a great attitude which is infectious. You can’t help but smile when he is your server.
Ted’s Capitol Hill is my go to place for breakfast! I love the warm welcome I get from the staff from the moment I arrive until I leave, it makes me feel Anita, Gustavo and the whole team truly cares about my business. The servers (Shalene, Claudia, Tiffani, Karen, Loni, Ervin, Chris and the rest of the team) remembers my preferences and always takes great care providing just the right amount of attention.
