Great service and clean place. Decent food, the sauce is not as sweet as I like it.

Beware--there are 2 dining rooms at the Chateau in Andover. We were meeting a friend there, we both got there early for our reservations but were seated in different dining rooms! We missed each other for the first 20 min of our dinner, which was not a fun way to start the meal. Our server was experienced and helpful. Food was fine, same as usual. The restaurant is nice but dark. The booths were tight. Lunch was delicious but the portions were small.
We were disappointed in our dining experience this time …. The waitress was very short with us and seemed very hurried .. my sister’s fish was very strong , she said the squash was too sweet and the waitress hurried her ( she’s had a stroke and needed some patience), my fettuccine was very dried out and i had to request more sauce .. the red devil cake was very dry and we left both pieces half eaten… my husband’s scollops were ok and my nephew said his was “ok”…. Food wasn’t very warm and taste just alright. Place shows its age but has a charm of its own. Service was good. A bit overpriced

The service was fantastic! The food order for 1 person in our party was incorrect but it was fixed right away!

We frequent the Chateau, which is typically quite good, with good service, but yesterday late afternoon was a disappointment. Server appeared preoccupied, and not at all with us. Table was set for two. There were three of us. We assumed another place setting would be brought automatically.
