We returned to The Commodore after having written a negative review of them on Yelp. The manager contacted me and wanted us to give them another try so he sent us a $100 gift card. Our last review was mostly positive about the food, it was the service that had been a problem. Last Friday, March 13th, we went back to give the restaurant another try. As far as we know, they didn't know that we had complained in the past and were going to use the gift card from them. This time, our server, Jossette, was very friendly, prompt an... read more

Service was slow and food was not as good as usual.
The bistro steak was tender and very flavorful. The beets sidedish with blue cheese and pepitos was wonderful. Service and ambience were great. Will be back. Anxious to try the new pot pies.
This a really fun place for a special night out. The historic and art deco feeling of the old Commodore is very nice and food is very good if not outstanding by any means. The great thing here was our waiter (either Nick or Nate..can't remember) who was easily one of the best waitstaff I have ever encountered and actually made the evening far more special.
This was a great value for restaurant week. I am used to the prix fixe menus at other restaurants during this week, with smaller portions. The Commodore presented full portion sizes. Everything was wonderful.
We went for the restaurant week menu. It was almost perfect The tomato soup was beyond spicy. Lots of cayenne. It made me break out in a sweat. Should have been warned about that!! The 2 desserts we tried were nothing special. Our server Nick was excellent; professional, knowledgeable, and enjoyable.
