We were a party of four. We ordered four different entres. When we were done it looked like we licked our plates. All four meals were fabulous.
The Commodore was absolutely wonderful ! The service was great, the waitress really knew the menu and the food preparation . The food made my taste buds sing. The waitress was also attentive without being too much. The ambiance was great. A wonderful asset to the twin cities restaurant experience. I will definitely be back.
What a beautifully decorated restaurant!! We enjoyed the the deviled eggs and bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer-delicious! Then we had the sole for an entree-yummy!! Our server Jeff was outstanding! Don't miss this charming restaurant in St. Paul!!
It was fabulous in every way except noise level. It was too loud
The Commodore was well worth waiting for. Everything about the evening was perfect from service to food. I have already recommended to two people that I know. And a selection of 3 vegetarian entrees was such a nice find. This doesn't happen that often in this area or in very nice places to dine. The vegetarian choices were assembled with style and the ingredients given thought. A truly stylish evening in a wonderful environment.
Our entire evening was splendid. We particularly appreciated the understanding shown to us regarding the pacing of the meal. The food was terrific -- bursting with brilliant notes of flavor. We are sharing our experience with friends and encouraging them to dine at the Commodore.
We like to go to the Commodore about every 3 months because the food is always excellent. It was just as good this trip and had some new items on the menu, which was fun for us to try. The halibut and the sole were both delicious. Our server gets special mention because there was a while that they did not serve tea. She took the initiative to get it back on the menu and we truly appreciate that. It was a great evening and we will definitely return.
Our waitress was outstanding. Schnitzel very good. Burgers were so-so but fries were a big favorite. Halibut just ok. Desserts looked great but we passed. The place is visually wonderful and yet the bill at $200 for four with two orders being hamburgers seems a bit much.
Everything is delicious. Definitely a special occasion spot because of the price point, but so worth it!
