Parking was complicated with poor signage, but would recommend the Commodore as an enjoyable experience.

We celebrated my sisters 1930's themed 30th birthday party on a Saturday night. We had a reservation for 5:15, so early enough in evening. Unfortunately the Commodore doesn't take reservations for anything over 6 people - So we had to show up with our 7th guest. They were NOT pleased, the staff wasn't overly nice, especially the bartender. We really felt like we were bothering them - even though we were the customers. We had spent a lot on our outfits and were really excited for the experience to dine there. The place is gor... read more

We loved the ambiance and had a great time. At any moment we thought we might capture F. Scott and Zelda walk by our table. The Fitzgerald cocktail was a hit!

I love the Commodore! It's definitely one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. It can get pretty noisy, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere/ambiance is divine!

First time experience at the Commodore. I was very pleased with the renovation of this historic building. Lots of loving care seemed to have gone into the planning and execution. The photos on the wall are so enjoyable to view. The decor sticks to the theme of black and white and the effect is very casual, but elegant. The service was excellent; foo satisfactory.

Found the Commodore a beautiful and fun experience and loved the history and stories of the place. I used to frequent the Commodore in the 70's and came in through the courtyard and loved it then. Now it is so nicely renovated and such a beautiful spot to have a cocktail and dine. Loved the experience.

The Commodore is certainly an interesting place from a historical perspective. I did not enjoy any aspect of the overall dining experience, food and drink quality or the service. It is clear that they have attempted to restore and update the dining room and bar however the food and drink menu also needs to be updated.

We were there on a Tuesday; maybe that's why the noise level was lower than often reported. The ambiance was nice, the food was good. The menu was a bit brief; not many choices, but the stuff we had was quite good.
