I remember the Commodore bar and lounge from my 20s and loved the vintage decor so I was excited to celebrate my birthday there and check it out. Both the decor/atmosphere and food were wonderful. I also appreciated that the noise level was low enough so that the 60-something group could carry on a conversation. I will gladly go back!

This was our first visit to the Commodore. We planned to be in the area and made a reservation for a relatively late dinner (8PM) on a Wednesday night. We split the butter salad, hamburger, and the brown butter cake for dessert. Everything was great, and we will return at some point. The only thing to be aware of is that at least 2 of the dining rooms are quite loud, and my wife thought the 3rd was just as loud when she looked in on it. Hidden gem in St Paul. Loved everything from the food, drinks, vintage decor/photos. Could not have picked a better spot to celebrate!

Great Art Deco decorating, very nostalgic. Service and drinks were very good, very professional. Unlike other reviews we found the noise levels to be moderate, easy to converse. I recommend it for special occasions.

The interior is wonderful. We were seated in the dining area, but the area area looked just as nice (if not better). Service was attentive and pleasant. The food was good, although both the selections (fried mac and cheese? really?) and the dishes themselves could be upgraded to match the elegance and splendor of the environment you're dining in.

Special place. The team understands the standards of a earlier era. Congratulations.

Menu needs to be expanded, the cauliflower entree should be a side dish.
