Place looks great and the service was very good, will be back.
Dave was a great server with a lively personality. He gave us excellent advice and information about the food. We had the lamb chops, which were double thick, and the ribeye, which was tender, tasty, and HUGE (but we're not complaining!). I'm glad that 'value' is listed as an attribute, since that is important. The entrees were reasonable in price. The only reason the bill was as high as it was is that we had 3 Proseco's and the lobster deviled eggs as well, and of course, we left a large (and well deserved) tip.
Delightful and delicious. Friendly and helpful service. Enjoyed the atmosphere and nostalgia.
It was a special night out with good friends and everything was perfect. We will do it again.
Celebrating our anniversary, we were pleased to celebrate it at a fine dining establishment isn't St. Paul. I had the salmon served uniquely with a rhubarb sauce and on a pea mixture that was delicious (can't recall what was entirely in the pea mixture). My husband had the roasted chicken which he enjoyed. I sat near a vent which was. Rey cold, but the waitress said that there wasn't anything that they could do. Perhaps a seat away from the vent should have been offered.
Chose this restaurant for a friend's 60th birthday dinner. I couldn't wait to try the lobster deviled eggs and they didn't disappoint. I absolutely loved them. We all tried a different dish - salmon, risotto, shrimp- and we all loved our dish. We practically licked our plates clean. Don't forget dessert either. The chocolate soufflé was delicious, but the brown butter cake was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. I'm already planning to go back.
Second time we've been there. An A* experience!
Very pleased to have visited. My group was reviewing a Zelda biography so it was the perfect choice in the Twin Cities. I thoroughly enjoyed the ribeye entree and my cocktail!
We expected the atmosphere and cocktails to be special. What we hadn't expected was the exceptional quality of the food. The lamb was superb. Although the Commodore is not inexpensive, we were pleasantly surprised with the prices.
