Great food and great service. Lots of small plates and vegetarian, meat and seafood choices. The scallops were great but a bit expensive at 19$ for 2 scallops
The menu is awesome, and the execution was delicious. If you were ever a fan of Toro Bravo in Portland (and many were!), you'll be ecstatic you can still enjoy Chef John Gorham's menu! The restaurant is big, so you'll have many different areas in which to enjoy your experience. Service was great, and we really enjoyed the counter. Best restaurant in Salem, hands down. Totally worth the trip from Portland, too. So happy to know Cozy Taberna is the real thing!
This is our 5th visit to Cosy Taberna in the last six weeks. As usual, it did not disappoint. We always start with the charcuterie board and love it. Our friends tried the octopus, Almonds, olives, brioche, and my husband cannot order anything different but the lamb chops. We also enjoyed a happy hour Cocktails especially the old fashion. Can’t wait to go back
It is so exciting to see a restaurant of this caliber in Salem. It easily rivals Portland restaurants in all areas. We will definitely eat here again.
Great food, great service a little on the spendy side but the food was so good! Definitely great for a nice date night every once in a while!
Our 7th time to this restaurant. We have tried maybe 75% of the items in the menu. Everything has been good. Our favorite small plates include: the bacon wrapped dates and the radicchio salad. From the larger protein menu we can’t get enough of the lamb chops, pork chops, scallops and salmon. The chocolate molten cake for desert is a great finish! The servers are superb!
Wonderful new restaurant is Salem. It's our new favorite place for a classy night out!
We enjoyed most of the food, clams were awesome, rolls good, dates awesome however we got the fritters and they were really unedible. We got them last with the steak and frites, so they took a bit, I'm not sure what happened but they were so salty that they couldn't be eaten, we each tried one and it was so salty that they left an overwhelming salt taste and kinda upset the stomach and taste of the steak.
