I wish I could give them a lower rating. Everything that all these other reviewers are saying is 100% true. They are a big scam. I “cancelled “ my membership during Covid and now I’m getting the Threatening texts and emails saying I’m in collections. I called and talked to them and they said I owed 280$ but they will forgive it if I sign up for 45$. I told them I canceled. They asked if I had email proof. It was 2 years ago. Also my wife was on with me, but somehow she is off the plan.
Signed up online, September1,2022,Greenwich location, took tour was shown the floor was told well this is it. No walk through one level tight packed with pople. Please do not start a membership, this corporation is very money hungry & purposely make it difficult for you to quit so they can squeeze more money out of you. Terrible management. And the employees/management have a terrible communication service. I pay for a one month training session. I told my trainer I’d like to cancel & he told me to let the front desk know. I had a personal trainer for a 2 month minimum for the edge fitness in Fairfield, Ct. I gave my 30 day notice as per clubs policy. My last payment was made on May 5th of 2022 in the amount of $363. However, I updated my primary account to just one debit card oppose to two in August. The day after me updating my account, I find attempted charges of $363. This Gym has been making me jump through hoops for about a month now. I have really bad mental health and other health issues and the gym just isn’t going to work for me. So I emailed to cancel my membership. I got denied and the stated I needed a doctors note. A DOCTORS NOTE????? Whatever I go and get a doctors note. They denied me again. Wtf?? The edge fitness is not being fair with female customers. They provide a separate facility for women only, which is great, however they’re charging women 39.99 a month for use of this room. The area and the equipment provided is not even a quarter of the main gym itself. The womens gym area is so small and they’re expected to pay more. Corporate, I kindly ask you to look into this. In September 2021 I called the club from there and asked them to cancel my membership, I may not be able to make it alive. The Edge in Media has a Sales Representative named Brandon who was talking to me with such disrespect. When I tried to cancel early the representative that I talk to never mentioned to me about canceling it in may. Then I called again right before I canceled and was only told to come in person. The manager was nice when I was waiting for two years to refund my daughter training money. But when I said I don’t want come anymore and need to cancel my membership. He started to disrespect me, yelling and telling me stop talking to me I will cancel tomorrow but you can’t have refund anymore.
