I took over my partner's membership back in January and other than getting a few funny looks since they haven't updated the picture in the computer (I look nothing like a 6ft 3 man) it was an easy process. The gym and locker room are always clean and well maintained and the staff has always greeted me and been very friendly. Took Jolene Messere's Boxout class tonight. AWESOME Class!!! Highly recommend her classes & her as a trainer. She puts together classes that are both challenging & fun. Jolene is a very encouraging and motivating trainer who pushes you to do your best in an encouraging & gentle way. Love her classes! Never disappointed! Always want to go back!
I have been a member of the Edge Fitness Clubs for years and I must say they are the "best" gym in the state or in others for that matter. The trainers that I have worked with have been extraordinary. My current trainer has pushed me to limits that I thought as a 48 year old man I would never go. The cleanliness is impeccable. No other gym that I have ever belonged to was ever this clean. I love the edge, clean , friendly staff. The only negative is the same people are there socializing everyday . This is a gym, not a singles bar..
I prefer this location over other Edge gyms. It's the best of both worlds - newer but not too new and crowded. It can get a bit crowded at times but not nearly as bad as Fairfield. The parking lot can get full but would never completely fill as is Fairfield's problem. The instructors are nice and down to earth. Most have been teaching for 10+ years and are very skilled. Don't give them your credit card to keep on file...ever!! I'm out $749 by 2 "automatic billing" cycles despite canceling before 30 days. Plus, they altered my cancellation date before submitting to their financial company so it fell short of the 30 days.

Extremely disappointing experience. I split my time between Florida and Connecticut, and was considering purchasing a weekly membership at The Edge whenever I'm in Connecticut. To test the waters, I signed up for their advertised 7-day free trial. That turned out to be a mistake. tried giving this one a chance because its closer. couldnt last a week machines smell like they haven't cleaned them in months . staff is miserable. i usually go to fairfield and they do a fantastic job. i'll take the extra 5 min drive daily going forward
