It's an OK gym, not that great, but it gets the job done. My only real complain is that the equipment is so disgusting, no one cleans them off, not the staff nor the guests. It's gross.
One of the main reasons I joined this gym was their "Friends are Free on Fridays" policy. What a joke! Brought a friend once, upon check in, they hassled her to keep her ID at the front desk and made her answer a page full of questions before letting her workout. They persistently called her to join weeks after. Needless to say, my friend did not want to come back in fear of being probed question after question again. I just cancelled my membership after a year of inactivity. The process was abominable. I called the club and they referred me to ABC Financial. What they did not tell me was that there was a 30 day cancellation period where I would be responsible for my membership fees. This means that even though I cancelled on September 3rd and my membership will be ineffective as of October 3rd, I will still have to make a payment on September 26th. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I made the mistake of joining this club in April 2012. I was told at that time by lovely lady at club that if I needed to cancel, it would be no issue. Less than a month later, I discovered I was moving to NY, and went in to cancel. At that time, I was told I needed to contact ABC Financial. So I sent a letter and an email on the same day, cancelling membership and card being charged. 2 charges had been put through already, but I let those go. MY MISTAKE. Very disappointed. My wife and I have been a members since they opened 3 years ago Oct. The treadmills and ellipticals are shot. There is something wrong with 98% of them. I have written to fitness edge on two separate occasions, I was not given the courteousy of a response. We are looking for ne new gym in 2012.
Disappointing. Classes are over crowded! Beware if you work out with friends or family my aunt was accused of training me. It is definitely a step up from Planet Fitness, especially if you are not into classes. Taking business elsewhere.
