I absolutely LOVED... (Verified Renter) I absolutely LOVED The Matisse. It's by far the best apartment community I've ever lived in, and I would jump at the opportunity to live there again (should anything change in my personal life). The staff is very responsive and helpful, the community is respectful and considerate, and the area (South Waterfront) is the safest, most fun downtown area to live at this moment in Portland. I've been at... (Verified Renter) I've been at The Matisse for five years now and have no plans to move out. If anything, I would consider moving to a larger unit, preferably on the same floor. While far from being the newest building in the district, it is well maintained and has received several upgrades over the years to add additional value to living here and to make it a competitive properly. While the occasional protests are disruptive, this is still a building a feel safe living in.
