Welcome to The Ridge Animal Hospital Our hospital, located on the pleasant and quiet east end of Farmville, has been a staple in the Farmville community for over thirty years. We pride ourselves in our ability to help our patients and clients rather than sell to them. The health and happiness of our little (and big!) patients is paramount. Took such good care of my Sophie girl. Love the staff, super caring in my time of need
A big thank you to the staff here at Ridge Animal Hospital. Had to bring my Beagle Mazy in for an emergency c-section late on a Friday afternoon they took us in and did a great job in saving my dog and her pups. Will definitely continue to use this vet. Also they never had seen Mazy before but will from now on see all my dogs .
We've been clients of Ridge since 2004. They have taken care of our animal companions from birth to an all-too-short life. If only our companions could stay with us longer! I cannot rate them highly enough. They have been honest with treatment options, fees, and answered all of our questions. The staff from vet tech to vet is compassionate and loving. I thank them for always responding to the needs of my companions.
Dr Kellam and all of the vets and staff at Ridge not only care deeply about the health and welfare of my fur baby, but also about the humans who love them.
I love this office for so many reasons. They take the time to listen and explain , they are through, and they do there job because they ligit care.

Maybe it was a cold, or Covid, or a touch of pneumonia, I thought. Nevertheless, I called the hospital and begged the kind person who answered to work Frick in on a very busy day. Once we got there, we didn't have to wait long before Victoria, the intern, c... read more
On August 31st my scaredy cat Ginger had surgery to remove his remaining teeth except for the 4 canines(periodontal disease ever since he came to me). Since Dr. French, our wonderful longtime regular vet at The Ridge Animal Hospital, no longer does dentals,we had Dr. Shepherd for the first time, and I quickly found out she is a real cat whisperer! Today Ginger had his post op, and again Dr. S. demonstrated her amazing rapport with my cat. Ginger and I are both SO impressed by this vet and definitely recommend her.
AWESOME place!!! Took my dog 2 lynchburg emergency animal hospital & they did nearly nothing. Went 2 farmville & they were amazing, gave him more care within a hour then lynchburg did in 3 hours. Send us home with meds & we had a cheaper bill!!! Definitely would recommend!!!!!! Dr Chelsea & Amanda were on point!!!
Dr. Andrea Kellum is wonderful and takes such great care of our dogs. The hospital is clean and staff is very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend Ridge Animal Hospital and Dr. Kellum!
