We pride ourselves in our ability to help our patients and clients rather than sell to them. The health and happiness of our little (and big!) patients is paramount. RecommendedHave you ever had a day that made you mad sad and then happy relieved and grateful. Well we are animal lovers and our family Schnauzer broke his leg last night. In not knowing where to go he landed at an emergency center They took exrays, said surgery was needed, may happen Saturday or Monday. Ok you want your loved one taken care of. Then they say 1000.00 dollars a night for care! 300.00 for medicine and around 3500.00 for surgery. What!! We recently visited Dr.French for an ACL surgery for our Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He and his staff were wonderful. Our pup is almost 3 weeks post op and doing wonderful. I’m beyond thankful for the second chance at a healthy life for our young dog. Many thanks Dr French!

On Friday 13th December 2019, I called this practice after we were unable to reach our sweet Nala's primary veterinarian emergency center when complications resulted from oral surgery performed on Wednesday 12/11/2019. I explained she was a full blooded pittie and had just had oral surgery performed on Wednesday without any immediate complications but she was now profusely bleeding from the mouth - they said to bring her in. My critters have been patients of Dr. French since I moved to Farmville 10 years ago and he diagnosed my rescue Murphy with cancer. He and his staff compassionately guided me through the treatment options. When it was time to let him go, they were there for us. This New Years week Dr. French came in on his day off to perform complicated life saving surgery on Murphy’s buddy, my obese grumpy old man Max. Thanks to Dr. Novitske, Dr. French, and the staff, Max will continue to live a full healthy life (on a very strict diet!}.
All the staff at ridge are great but Dr. Shepard is absolutly amazing!!!! She cares so much for her patients and always goes above and beyond. My daughter idolizes her. I could not ask for a better veterinarian.
They are very caring and have been so supportive. Dr. French is the greatest!
Our cats were treated very well and everyone was friendly.
Very rare to find a group more compassionate and professional, we rescued a goat with a severely broken leg and their treatment of him was equal to our concern for his wellbeing. Dr French and his staff are 5 🌟. Thanks for caring. Granger and Becky Lobb
