I DREAD going to dentist. Went due to an emergency, but so glad I found this office. Everyone from the front desk to the dental staff were SUPER KIND and professional. I am getting the emergency work, plus other work that I need. And NO STRESS.
First let me begin by saying set up the appointment was not only a breeze, but efficient. All paper work was sent in advance so there is no long waits like other offices. The office has the best front desk receptionist. They are so sweet and super helpful. I love that it was a friendly atmosphere! I waited less than 5mins which is a BONUS! I had the most pleasant experience with The Smilist Dental in Amityville. This was my first time here and I am absolutely going to come back. Jeanie the hygienist was not only the nicest person, she was gentle during the cleaning, explained everything she was doing, very informative and knowledgeable and made going to the dentist actually enjoyable. I absolutely love the Smilist Dental! They are extremely professional, exhibit excellent care for their patients and always leave my teeth sparkling clean. On my last appointment, I had the pleasure of having Jeannie do my cleaning and X-rays. She did a phenomenal job and was very informative with how to better care for my teeth, the different whitening packages offered by the Smilist, and all other questions I had. I am really happy I found this place. My old dentist told me my mouth was perfect and I had no cavities when I was really suspicious that I had one. I came here for a second opinion to find out I had multiple cavities that my first dentist completely overlooked. The staff here is really friendly and the dentist was really honest and took his time explaining everything to me and showing me my xrays. I am a "dental" fear person after having bad experiences in the past. From the first initial call to my actual appointment I was a mess:( Then it changed, everyone from the get go was amazing:) Farrah listened to my fears with a kind spirit, Ashley assured me all was going to be fine, Dr. Sweeney (huge Thank you) and Rhona, the lady with a sweet smile and a kind heart. Having lousy insurance usually leads to only finding lousy dentists, but it certainly is not the case here! They actually have a question on their new patient forms asking how they meet your needs. My answer was "be clean, be friendly and be on time". Not only did they meet my expectations, they far exceeded them! Went for a cleaning and eval with x-rays for the first time today.
