They only care about money. I was told I needed a deep cleaning for which they were asking $1400 and also a new crown. After seeking a second opinion elsewhere it turned out I didn't need the deep cleaning or the crown, I will not be going back to them again.

Dr. Zeidman was verbally abusive to my family member and suffered in pain because of his purposeful neglect. Avoid seeing him at all costs. The worst part is, we reached out to the regional managers and administration and no one has responded. The company encourages the doctors at the smilist to neglect their patients and can't even apologize for the disturbing behavior. This company should be ashamed. Zero rating. I go for a cleaning 2x a year. I used to see Sue from Dr Fishers office but her hours do not accommodate mine anymore. My last cleaning they said I would need a deep cleaning and with laser and sweet air (over 2 visits) would be 750 out of pocket. Ok - did the first half and had sweet air the entire time- dental anxiety. The second appointment the tech was not ready for me. The Smilist of Smithtown denied me dental care because of my high blood pressure. Said it was because of their liability insurance. I'd gone there for nearly a decade without issue and now they won't even give me a CLEANING. The Smilist represents corporate dentistry at its worst. Thank God my dentist retired from there recently, because it allows me to find a dental office that actually cares about its patients. F_ck The Smilist, now and forever.
The smilist Dental is PREFERED provider to a few dental insurance companies. They bill the insurance under the contract they signed for allowable rates for service as payment in full then they send their customers a bill for what they feel they should be paid? Called many times they never call you back but keep sending you bills. You have to check at least one star to be able to post. Stay away!!!!!!! Marc

I wish I could give zero stars! They have been charging me $25 a month for almost 2 years! They refuse to stop. I have called dozens and dozens of times and left messages - NOBODY CALLS BACK! Scammers!

If I could give zero stars to The Smilist dental in Smithtown, I would. My whole family joined this practice because like so many have said, loved our dentist and hygienist from his prior two dentist practice. This practice is truly a money hungry business at their patient's expense. I have never received a bill from my old dentists practice and now every month I am receiving bills for over $500.00 with no explanation, these people are in my plan. Unfortunately my dentist Dr. Arena teamed up with this company. I was overcharged for services that were covered under my insurance. After 5 phone calls to discuss the charges, i still haven't been able to speak to anyone that can explain the charges and authorize a refund. 7 on your side is my next step. I'll miss my dentist but I can't trust a company that has such little respect for it patients. 7 on your side I hope you can help me recoupe my $400. We recently took my dad to The Smilist Dental Smithtown when his dentist retired and (apparently) sold his practice to these people. This is the type of despicable "cash register" business model that is just wrong on so many levels. Of course it is not a crime to make money, but sorry, preying on people, seniors under the guise of medical care is just repulsive to me and should be to everyone.
