RecommendedLove the convenience of living on post. The older homes in east main are huge.
This is my husband and I's first duty station together. I have lived on other military bases, but we have loved Fort Benning! Communication was sometimes difficult, but if you stay on it, you'll get what you need. We arrived here to get the keys to our home and found out the AC was broken. They were super kind about it and would not let us in a home without AC. So we got a renovated home and we are the second people to live here! RecommendedWe recently moved on post from another installation. The move in experience was decent but the turnover of homes from maintenance could be improved. The wait for homes is long and it shouldn't be. The housing staff has no control over the maintenance crews turning over homes which is unfortunate. We have had nothing but a pleasant experience with our community center folks and maintenance crews that deal with issues once you are already living here.
We like being on post cause both of us don't have to drive too far/long to go to work. Housing is trying to keep up with all the work orders but should pay a little more attention to detail.
RecommendedWe've been pleased thus far. Maintenance has come in good time for most of our requests. I wish they would fulfill our request for a power wash, our house outside is filthy. The pool is nice. I don't love how fast the grass crew speeds around our neighborhood on their mowers. Getting housing is a different story.
RecommendedThe management team has been awesome across the board. They made miracles happen in order to get what we want. Additionally, the maintenance team has been phenomenal and has gone the extra mile to ensure everything is good in our home. Though they are obviously not perfect, they will do everything they can to fix the problem. This the first time we have lived on post in 13 years and it has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company!!!
RecommendedWe have enjoyed our stay on post here. The neighborhoods are quiet and all have pools, which is so nice during the summer. And it's close to my husbands job so I get to see him more!
