Wow I am so happy with this place! I've been having several complications with my puppy and vet visits have gotten so expensive. They have a healthcare program for only $9 a month you get free unlimited pet exams! Of course you still have to pay for meds and labs if needed but that still beats paying $50 and up for an exam everywhere else! Even if you don't get the membership its still more affordable than other places , it's only $25 for the exam. took my beagle here for her yearly shots, exam, and meds. this was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. first of all, the vet tech (gina) took quite a bit of time answering all of my questions and describing thrive plus. Dr. Lauren Severns did a very thorough exam and gave the injections. she was very professional, caring, and gentle with my dog. the cost was significantly lower than the cost for the same services at local vets.

I took my dog in for her last shot and the staff there noticed that my dog wasn't gaining weight they went out of their way to talk to me about ways to help her and now my dog is thriving. Between the vet assistant/store manager and the vet, they both made me feel like they really cared about my dog and me. Thanks to the staff!

My cat, Faith, was very sick and I didn't know why??? as her breathing was stressed, her nose was all swollen on one side, she wasn't eating or taking any water in and lethargic ....ya see I was out of town for a few nights with a family friend staying at the house. So I didn't have a vet yet as fairly new to San Antonio.....my cat has never been sick or need of a vet....so I called this Vet Clinic based on the word "affordable". I went here for my annual checkups for my dog and cat. They took great care of them and it was much less for both of them than I payed for one checkup at my previous vet! This is my new vet office for sure!

My cat got the vaccine and rabies shot here to move over seas. but they put the shot in my cat's shoulder and then my cat has sarcoma cancer. Usually cats are very sensitive to the shots. According to the 2020 AAHA/AAFP Feline Vaccination Guidelines, injections are supposed to be placed on the amputable tail or leg, but they ignored the guidelines. Sarcoma cancer is a limited time of 1 year. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT HERE!!!!!

This clinic continually raises their prices. They have a different set of rules than any other Thrive clinic. The staff is constantly new. They are the slowest location I've been to, and have been forgotten in a room many times. They will not communicate with any outside pharmacy, forcing you to use their own in-house pharmacy service, which is more expensive than anywhere else, and that is WITH the membership discount. The new receptionist is also very snarky about any questioning of their policies - "I dont make the rules"... read more

Pet owners beware... If you ever have to go the emergency animal hospital, formerly on Broadway and 410, which is now called "THRIVE", DONT GO! On Monday night, our cats tail was slammed in a door, and it cut through all the way to the bone being exposed i.e. an emergency visit to a hospital was imperative. She was bleeding all over the carrier and suffering serious pain. We arrived at the new facility a few blocks from the old one, to admit her. This was at 645 pm.
