Tropicana was the place to be the weekend I arrived. We came into town for the Boxing fight at Boardwalk Hall(which is literally on the same strip as the hotel) and to celebrate my birthday. The hotel had a few shows going on as well. Checking in was smooth and while I had the corner room in the north tower with no visible view, it was quiet and great for me as I only needed to shower and sleep there. Like Atlantic City, this place seen better days. Interaction w/staff was non existent. Attempts to use the Siri-like assistant netted no result. I ended up having to jimmy an access panel in my room to adjust the thermostat. Tried to call housekeeping for an extra towel and bedding, but no response. Room needs updating and comfier seating area.
