Our experience was excellent AS SOON as we SWITCHED rooms!!!! The Havana tower was amazing and I will say the front desk was kind and accommodating since we were first assigned to a room in the West tower that was SO SO so disgusting we literally ran out of it. I’m talking bodily fluid stains on the sheets, liquid stains of some sort dripping on the walls. The air conditioning unit was bolted shut so you couldn’t control the air flow. Trop is where I always stay when visiting A.C. , but I'm starting to see some small issues occurring. Check in Near Havana always seems to be closed. When using the computer check in it never checks me in, I have to go all the way downstairs to check in at the front desk. The shower head in the room I stayed in was spraying at full force and this was causing the tub to fill. They didn't have a proper shower curtain for the bathroom so water was all on the floor. Mostly nice hotel. The hotel is almost fully automated. Kiosks for check in everywhere. There is a lobby with a few customer service reps. We had a hard time finding our way--not enough direction signs. On our last day. the escalator was out of service, but there was no sign to indicate where an elevator might be. The main traffic ways smelled like cigarette smoke. The carpets in the Havanna tower have seen better days. And the tiled floors at the main entrance were very slippery!
