I ultimately was able to have something shipped using uShip, and I was quite happy with the hauler, but I had a very unsatisfactory initial experience with uShip. I decided to buy an eBay item some distance away based on uShip's estimated shipping cost. It gave a range of about $300 to $700, with ~$550 being most common.
