(My American Short-hair, black & white Cat) He easily could have died for the foreign body intestinal blockage incident that we faced. First time visitor to this Hospital... And I was very pleased with the services that my dog received... Felt like the staff was very empathetic and experienced to our situation... And The veterinarian was so nice and was able to address all my concerns.. My dog is now home resting and will be back to normal in no time...Thanks too Deerfield Emergency Veterinarian

I brought my puppy in after I was advised to after a bad reaction to a vaccine. The vet I met with at midnight was wonderful and full of concern. They kept him overnight and when another vet called me in the morning they didn’t seem to care at all and was basically reading me a report and almost sounded bothered by my questions. Hours later when I went to pick up puppy I met with a technician who was just like the vet, and seemed like I was more of a bother than anything. We are SO, SO fortunate to have this valuable resource so close! My working dog puppy had to spend 4 days here when he suddenly couldn't walk anymore. They figured out what was going on (HOD) and Dr Gerard has been providing expert and timely care for him since 4/17/18. I thought I would be unhappy if I didn't get Dr Weigand but I'm over the moon with Dr Gerard; she has a great crateside manner, tells me like it is (I don't need or want things sugar coated), and she knows her stuff!
