We have enjoyed Vida several times, especially their unique menu. Service has always been outstanding and manager, Roddy, is very welcoming. We were seated on the bar side, under the stairwell for this evening. I would refuse to sit there when we return. It was so noisy there we could not hear each other across our table for two. We could actually hear the conversations of a 6 people party seated at the front window. I would not say the noise level was "energetic" if given my choice of words.
Great service, great food, great building. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and loved the wall of greens!
We've eaten here a half dozen times since they opened and it just gets better each time we visit. My only suggestion would be to add a couple more pieces of bread to the base charcuterie offering. 2 pieces aren't enough with the meat, cheese, etc.
This was our fourth or fifth visit to Vida. We had a friend in town from New Orleans, where I grew up, so it would have to be special to impress either of us, or my foodie boyfriend. It was. The service was exceptional. The hostess was polite and friendly. The server A was experienced, knowledgeable, and very kind. The supporting staff was attentive through out the entire meal. The platters were served with a high emphasis on presentation. All courses were arranged and garnished with a little extra attention. The food had great flavor.
Excellent food -- our table had diverse dishes and all were well-curated and delicious. Comfortable seating and subdued lighting. Expensive but exceptional.
Vida is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Indiana. They maintain an amazing menu with local components that capture so many great flavors and taste aspects. The service is incredible and extremely helpful and I have never received a bad recommendation from wine to food to dessert. The ricotta doughnuts are a must to finish any meal. To cap it all off, the space they've made is beautiful. Eating there is a great experience from start to finish.
Food top of the line. Prices top of the line too. While you can order a la carte, don't. The menu is designed as a multi course tasting menu with several small courses. No matter how good an entree looks, you'll leave hungry if you just order one dish.
Vida is one of our favorite restaurants in Indianapolis. The food is creative and well prepared. The service is outstanding. Since the food is on the pricier side, we tend to dine here for special occasions. A huge plus, is that the restaurant is not noisy, like so many of the newer places. We can actually carry on a conversation without shouting! Very highly recommended.
