I am impressed! Waterford Downs is great. My job has had me traveling for years and I am finally in a position to settle into a place. I have looked all over and my experience with Neal was fantastic. He was attentive, informative and answered questions I didn't know I needed to ask. The apartment complex in neat and clean, the floor plans are well laid out and the pricing is reasonable given the area. We moved in last month and at first I was not impressed. They had hired someone to clean who had apparently done nothing (it was their first time using that cleaner). I told them I'd rather clean it myself than rely on whoever they hired, and they respected that. Since then, though, they've been extra accommodating! Maintenance requests are resolved promptly, and in the last week they've even helped with things outside their scope. I loved living here! I just moved after four years and I am so sad to leave! The location is great and I searched all over for a better value but couldn't find one. They have underground parking (a rare find) that is very affordable. The apartments have a unique layout that make them feel very homelike unlike most apartments which are "shotgun" style. My husband and I lived in Waterford Downs for over three years and have nothing but positive things to say about the complex. The management is great, maintenance is kind and always quick to respond to any issues, the complex is clean and well-maintained with a great location. The area is safe -- I routinely run around Creve Coeur from our apartment, we walk to Dierbergs' and Trader Joes, and have never had any issues with our neighbors. I have never had bugs in my lifetime until moving here. I could not get rid of them, and neither could maintenance. Absolutely disgusting!

I was promised that maintenance issues would be handled through their "resident portal," but that quickly proved to be a false promise. My review is 100% accurate . It was what I actually experienced. And the main problem was how all communication was cut off between me and anyone from the property management company. When I talked to Ed's manager, she was very surprised to hear about many of the circumstances I had to deal with while living here. And this was after I was told that a lot of my issues would bubble up to higher level management. Lived here for about 4 years, they often told me I was one of their FAVORITE tenants because I pay on time and don't cause trouble. THE SECOND I declared my intent to move out I was dealing with a COMPLETELY different beast. They have made moving out an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and treated me like a degenerate a*shole every step of the way. When I first moved here this place was great. It was cheap, there was a washer and dryer in each unit, the management was friendly, and the location was excellent. Even though the construction of the place was pretty shoddy, who cared so long as the management patched things up ok? Skip 3 years later and the complex is in need of a serious overhaul.
