This place is a joke! They told my husband that Dr. would be there over the weekend...NOT he supposedly called in and then was told he would be there Monday...NOT, he called in sick again! Wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place!

My husband went to the Hometown Urgent Care in Portage, Mi with extreme pain in his ears And sudden weight loss. They diagnosed him with a sinus infection and gave him a prescription for it. I had been out of town and when I returned I realized he was very, very sick. I stopped in to see if they could refer him to an ENT. They refused and I ended up getting him an appointment to an ENT. Horrible, horrible service. We waited for over an hour and the doctor spent less than a minute with us. The staff was rude and was making sexually inappropriate jokes while they ordered lunch. I've been in customer service for 15 years and haven't heard this degree is unprofessional behavior in my life. After waiting for two hours on a day where there were only ever three other patients in the waiting room with me, I still haven't been seen, only moved to an exam room for another 45 minutes. I'm told I can't even leave the door open while I wait due to privacy concerns, despite the fact that I can hear every word spoken in the adjacent rooms and hallways. This place used to be really good, it was my go to for small issues and I recommend them to other. I rarely go to the doctor and wait as long as I can to go in hopes I can avoid gut damaging antibiotics. After 9 days of misery I went in because I have to fly Friday and that messes with my sinuses, they offered me steroids only, which I declined.

Very disappointed in our experience. Clearly explained what service we needed on the phone AND in person at the desk including showing the simple self-reporting form we just needed a provider signature on. Was ensured by staff both on the phone and in person after actually showing the form that yes they could provide this service. Waited 2 1/2 hours went back to the examination room only to then have the med assistant then come tell us they don't fill out those forms.
