Don't need them. file on your own and save all that money.

Business response:

Hi Rick. I can see you have never been a client of our law firm. While free veterans services are fine for simple claims, some complicated claims require medical experts, medical reports, witness statements, buddy statements, BDA statements, lay statements, and other evidence. Most veterans that come to us are denied because they have insufficient evidence. The VA has their own experts, medical reports, and exams. Complicated VA disability claims are essentially our experts vs. their experts. While I hope you never need our ... read more

Just another street attorney that will fill the paperwork out for you and charge you 1/3 if you get a settlement. I highly would not recommend them for my veteran brother and sisters, use the BVA or DVA and they will do the same thing for free.

You all completely wasted my time. Your response was to tell me could not do something I never asked for. Celeste was hostile when asked why my actual needs couldn’t be addressed. I don’t think she’s playing with a full deck and I think you’re firm is shady. I wanted a simple appeal of my VA decision..... why was that never addressed? Do you all NOT handle appeals? Please stop wasting people’s time and be up front at intake.

Business response:

Hi Christine. I'm sorry we did not accept your case. Woods & Woods focuses solely on Individual Unemployability claims. We offer help for non-Individual Unemployability claims to all potential clients from our partner law firms. If you change your mind on working with a partner law firm, we are always here to help. Respectfully, Neil Woods

Falsely advertise that they will answer questions! They don't wa t to assist anyone that's not 70% rated or more! If you want to work, FORGET IT!!!! It's a scam!!! They ONLY WANT SURE THINGS!!

I just spoke with them about my claim (a little girl named McKenzie) and was told that they wouldn't help me because I wouldn't give them the names of every unit at which I served and every country I visited (hardly needed during the intake process...maybe at SOME point, but they need to earn some sort of trust and respect first). This firm really doesn't need to be representing Veterans when they have enough problems dealing with the VA. I should have taken a look at the other reviews first...because I can't help but thin... read more

These idiots have zero idea of what they're doing and the idea that there is no reason to get a 100% rating (see a few of the other reviews) if you already have TDIU is lazy and, quite possibly, the worst F-ING advice you can get. These idiots are too lazy and greedy and this is a perfect example of both of this horrible company - giving dangerous advice to veterans is just one reason to avoid @WoodsandWoods

Business response:

Hi George. TDIU and a 100% rating pay the same. I don’t exactly understand what you are mad about. We don’t make the rules at the VA. Respectfully, Neil Woods

Shortly after the appeal was filed to the BVA the attorneys decided to drop me as a client. Wow, unbelievable. I will make sure I will never recommend your service to anyone. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this law firm. Who does that? And they offer no solutions. Each time the rep tells you a different story. For the longest time I had Melissa and then all of a sudden I was assigned a new rep who completely said the opposite on what I was told. Never Again. Stay away as far as you can. You can find better attor... read more

The good: They were very accessible and communicated information quickly. The Bad: I specifically mentioned programs like the DEA (dependents educational assistance) because I have children approaching college. I was given the ole sure, yes, of course etc etc for two years. Due to the nature of my agreement with Woods and Woods (they collected 33% of my back payment) once I got 100% on the pay out (individual unemployability) but was rated at 70% they collected their fee and moved on. I questioned this to anyone at the fir... read more

Business response:

Joseph, Individual Unemployability benefits pay the same as a 100% rating. There is no reason to appeal an Individual Unemployability approval for a 100% rating - you get nothing more. The jump from 70% to 100% is very hard if you understand how to use the Combined Ratings Table. If you appeal that decision, you could potentially be rated lower and lose your Individual Unemployability benefits. Our fee is 20% of back pay for all clients. The doctors expenses were made clear in the contract that you signed with our firm.... read more
