I have had many bad experiences with dentists in the past since I was a child, which led me down a complicated path with many dental issues over most of my life. I have seen different dentists and specialists for my unique dental situation and was told there was not much that I could do. They did not seem very hopeful for the health of my teeth, smile, and function to be achieved. I was told that my options were to do many invasive procedures, including bone graphs, braces, implants, and bridges that would not give me the end result I was looking for, but it will “do the job” and take a couple years or more. I found Dr. Okuda through a review that was similar to my situation and I figured I would at least do a consultation, what can it hurt? My first meeting with Dr. Okuda and his staff immediately uplifted my spirit and relieved the heavy burden that discouraged me for years in hopes of ever achieving the smile that I always wanted. He did not hesitate in telling me “it can be done!” What was most important to me was Dr. Okuda’s values and philosophy as well as his approach to “health, function, and beauty.” His effortless approach made me confident in trusting him and his team. He encouraged a minimally invasive approach that would tackle what I was told to be impossible. He is an expert in what he does but what makes him unique is his experience, pride in his work, vision in health, function, and beauty, as well as his passion for each individual patient and their journey. He avoided what other dentist had told me they would have to do. He was able to fix my dental issues as well as my bite while avoiding the invasive surgeries I was told I needed to do in the past. Dr. Okuda wasn’t going to just do “good enough.” He was able to see what he COULD do and go the extra mile and do even more to give me teeth that I couldn’t even imagine having. If it wasn’t for his pride, passion, and unique vision, as well as the encouraging staff that he has, I wouldn’t have had the teeth I have today that changed my life. If anyone has had a horrible situation like me, don’t settle for “good enough” or “it will do the job.” We deserve to get the healthy smile that we want and Dr. Okuda can make it happen!
