Our old vac died, and I very nearly bought another the same (typical vibrating type). The lady at Pinch a Penny explained that the Zodiac is much quieter. I decided to give it a try and really glad I did. Well worth the $70 extra. It is TOTALLY quiet. We sit out by the pool a lot, especially in the winter months, and I found I would often turn off the vac just to get some piece and quiet. But with the Zodiac, you cannot tell it is running. Excellent pool cleaner and leaf catcher.
This vacuum is used in a 20 x 40 vinyl liner pool. This is the first pool vacuum that I have used and it works great. It is hooked up to my vacuum line and has an in line leaf filter attached. I was surprised how well it traveled around my pool and it does a great job climbing the walls.
