Our old vac died, and I very nearly bought another the same (typical vibrating type). The lady at Pinch a Penny explained that the Zodiac is much quieter. I decided to give it a try and really glad I did. Well worth the $70 extra. It is TOTALLY quiet. This vacuum is used in a 20 x 40 vinyl liner pool. This is the first pool vacuum that I have used and it works great. It is hooked up to my vacuum line and has an in line leaf filter attached. I was surprised how well it traveled around my pool and it does a great job climbing the walls.
