No other options...low quality I use two or three of these a year. They always break in the same spot. Poor design or material? I don't know. No other option than to buy zodiac brand and the price for the part has doubled since I bought my sweeper. It is a shame since the rest of the sweeper is durable and the only part I have replaced is the foot (every three years or so). Would love to see an aftermarket company step up and make one or zodiac re-engineer for durability.
Poor quality I do pool maintenance for a living, and I have had to replace this part 4 times in the last year. The rubber does not hold up for long and eventually tears in the middle, rendering your sweep useless. The pool has a variable speed pump which I only run at 2000 rpm at its highest due to trying to keep this rubber piece from splitting, but it always does eventually—usually within a few weeks. Didn't last a month Must have been sitting on the ahelf in the HOT warehouse for a long time. Diaphragm didn't even last a month. Very disappointed and these are expensive. Bought package og two. Second one did the exact same thing..ripped after a few weeks! Do not buy from this seller!!
Fragile Too expensive to be so fragile to only last a couple of months. Very disappointing. When new they work very well. Great suction. But poor design.
Pool is Clean! After watching a YouTube video on how to install the diaphragm, my Zodiac cleaner has a lot of suction and my pool is clean. Update, my diaphragm lasted for only two weeks. The cleaner stopped working and I saw that the diaphragm already has a hole in it. I'm very disappointed! Perhaps I shouldn't pay the extra money to get Zodiac parts.
Lasted 70 days At this rate of failure and replacement, it will cost $140.00 per year. If it were to last 90 days or more, It would still cost up to $100.00 a year. The middle man between China and the consumer is making out really well on this one.
Product broke after 2 weeks! I bought the Zodiak pool cleaner because I had a Barracuda for about 15 years with very little problems or repairs. I thought this was an upgrade with a very cool leaf catcher. This new version was working great. After 2 years the diaphragm ripped and I was a little concerned. Rips easily and quickly Works well but only for a couple months and then it rips and doesn't work!
Lasted about 1 month The replacement diaphram lasted about 1 month. The original lasted about 2 years. I'm ordering another because the season is almost over. Will have to really look into what to purchase for next year.
