I've been using 8x8 since 2008. In my opinion, it's currently the best public network-based VoIP provider in the country. Up-time, call quality, U.S.-based customer service (highly underrated aspect) and functionality have all been outstanding.
Cost, Cost, Cost, we changed to 8X8 a little over a year ago and the primary reason was cost, but we have found that the additional features are also a bonus, the change over was very easy with the help we received from the installation team, should have looked at 8X8 five years ago when we opened our office.
The up and coming of the VCC. It has helped tremendously with efficiency in our Support department. Though, there are a few adjustments we'd like to see, it is still a great tool for our Support Team.
Using 8x8 services has allowed our remote employee's to stay connected easier with corporate office in Seattle. I use myself as I am remote and would not know what to do now if it was not part of my applications always in use. Cape Fear Literacy Council is a non-profit organization in Wilmington, NC. Each year, we help about 500 adults improve their reading, writing, math, and English language skills. Last fall we expanded into a 2-building campus so we can serve more adult learners. We changed to the 8x8 phone system so that we call all still be on the same phone system - it's so important for us to able to stay in touch across two buildings.
The thing I like most about 8x8 is that fact that i have the ability to change things at my own disposable. I have not had to contact 8x8 to have things fix. I am able to do it myself.
