Great scanner For a small foot print scanner, this thing does a great job. I use it to scan all our invoices and the PDF file makes them even look better and easier to read. You can set up a simple button to drop the file in your drop box and you don't need to be connected to your PC to get it there, just have an internet connection. Got one for work, now I want one for home too. Scan pictures and the color look excellent.
Great desktop scanner This scanner replaced my Neat scanner. I wish it died sooner, because this Brother desktop scanner is much faster and easier to use and it takes up less real estate on my desk. I love that I can scan direct to my pc from the scanner with just a couple of touches to the screen. Reduced by one star because the shortcut feature isn't really a shortcut - you have to touch the screen just as many times to use the shortcut as without it.
I am very satisfied. Initially I had some software/driver problems. I wanted to use the scanner within another pdf scanning software. What came with the scanner worked, I just wanted to use what I had been using (same software company for both) No luck with Brother or software company tech supports getting it to work. What I did was delete the Brother and other software driver. Then when I started my scanner software it told me no driver found and did I want to use the default Windows 10 driver. I chose yes. Good scanner, slow to connect when using wireless Good scanner, slow to connect when using wireless. Have to recycle power if still on and computer was restarted in order to have them communicate with each other. If using USB, better than other scanners that I have used that are similar.
Decent scanner. Decent scanner. Lots of ways to get data out (wifi+email, USB stick, etc.). Small feeding tray. Sometimes jams. I've seen all-in-one printers which do better for less. But they're also bigger.

This Brother scanner is excellent for the money With everything transmitted electronically these days my fax machine is becoming obsolete, and I can't get by anymore in the office without a scanner! This Brother scanner is excellent for the money. Although I consider myself a fairly advanced PC user, the average end user will find wireless setup easy enough to walk through. The user-friendly ControlCenter quickly scans documents to an editable PDF format.
