Brother ADS1500W compact color scanner Good price and works very well. I particularly like the unit because of its small footprint. One feature that pleasantly surprised me is its ability to scan both sides of the paper at the same time. And it's fast. The only negative is that I would like a better system to support the documents in the inbox (while feeding), and also some mechanism to catch the pages as they exit the scanner. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to create.

Good, fast scanner. Very effective double sided scanner. Would benefit from a more sophisticated piece of software fore image handling after you scan it.
Five Stars Easy to setup and use
Cool tool for quickly uploading to google drive, no desktop needed This scanner is pretty cool. I was looking for something for utilizing text to speech. I have it set up as a standalone machine connected wirelessly to my network. I can easily scan a multipage double sided article and upload it to google drive where I can utilize google's text to speech extensions. I wouldn't recommend it for high traffic. This is a GREAT product! Easy set up....very easy to hook up on my laptop. I do family history/ancestry work. This has saved me so much time. I like how after each scan I can label it and have it sent right to a file. I have found for my use.....scanning documents as a jpeg has been most helpful.....The clarity is very good and I am not fond of using PDF's. Good scanner...once you figure out the setup! The scanner itself is good quality, scans quickly and has a variety of places you can scan to automatically. The only issue I had was with the setup. The Quick Setup Manual is written poorly and is also difficult to read (fuzzy, no quality print and pics in black and white). If you use Windows 10, the CD doesn't work. They don't tell you anywhere in the enclosed documents that you need to go to the Brother website and download the drivers and software. Once you get all of that do... read more
Good scanner, ok software, terrible Mac support. The machine scans well, but I won't recommend it to Mac users. WIFI scan is not available on Mac. The setup guide is misleading, since wifi scan is not supported (on mac), why Brother made wifi the default connection option. I wasted hours trying to connect my mac to this printer. But after reading the manual page by page, I realized wifi scan is not supported on mac.
