It's easy to use and scans duplex but not too quickly I was really excited to get this scanner because I needed something to scan duplex pages and do it quickly. It's easy to use and scans duplex but not too quickly. When I scan a packet of 5 pages, it's quick but when I scan 20 or so pages it takes roughly 5-10 minutes which is much longer than the advertised 18ppm. Even though it's a bit slow it's ok. HOWEVER. Excellent scanner Bought it because of its size and capabilities. Compatible with OS El Capitan, which many scanners nowadays are not. Set up was quick and intuitive. Works flawlesly

These are small and convenient A great little scanner for remote employees
but not as straight forward as I would have liked. I recall having to make user account instead ... It jams more than I would expect for a scanner of this price point. If there are folds in the paper (as mail often has) it will grab multiple pages at once and either jam or skip pages. Scanning to a samba share on my NAS was doable, but not as straight forward as I would have liked. I recall having to make user account instead of mounting the share as an anonymous user. Very mediocre for the price.
LOVE THIS If you're an organizational nerd like me, you'll LOVE this. I did a lot of research on scanners before settling with the Brother ADS1500W and I'm glad I did! It combines multi-page documents into PDFs right out the box which is exactly what I wanted. It's fast. It's compact, which is great for the minimalist aesthetic I have going on my desk. The one problem I have, however, is that the wireless setup is really difficult on my MAC computer. I still haven't quite figured it out.. if anybody has pointers, I'd be happ... read more
