I want to write this directly to the person who is doing research to find a place for a loved one. It's hard, exhausting and overwhelming. The first thing you'll notice when you come to Aegis in Granada Hills is how much nicer it looks than all other assisted living facilities you'll see. It doesn't have an institutional feel at all. You feel as if you've walked into a large living room in somebody's house. They took GREAT care of our mom. And when her "time" came, went above and beyond to make sure my whole family was taken care of and loved. Truly a family. Highly recommend
We moved my dad here 2 1/2 years ago and could not be happier. He is treated so well by the staff, and enjoys all of the enrichment classes. A special shout out to Sabrina who goes above and beyond to make sure each resident feels like family, and for making each special event so much fun!
Our 95-year-old mother has been a resident at Aegis for more than five years, and throughout that time we have consistently been impressed by the professionalism, compassion, and dedication of the staff that support her. I can not speak more Highly for a the Aegis Facility and its staff. My father who recently passed, was under the care of Aegis, and recommend it for anyone who is looking to have their loved one go to a place that is more like being at Home than any facility I've ever been in. We toured the place with Britney and from the moment we walked in we could feel the level of care that they deliver. My mother spent the last year and a half of her life in memory care at Aegis Granada Hills. The facility is lovely, clean, well maintained, and has an overall positive "vibe." The individual rooms are very nice as are the outdoor spaces and common living areas. Because my sisters and I all live out of state, it was particularly important to us to know that she was receiving the best care possible and we were not disappointed. We placed mom there while her home was being remodeled and we liked it so much she stayed! The staff is compassionate, we became friends with the Administrator, and the food and recreational offerings were marvelous! They couldn't do enough for mom and our family! Update -mom has been living here for awhile now and I just want to say again how helpful it has been -if you are overwhelmed like I was I highly recommend Aegis GH -mom is clean, participates in creative and appropriate daily activities, has her own room & bathroom, is able to have transportation to medical appointments and church, nice meals-it is such a relief to have quality help!
