I had an incredible experience at AKA in the Gaslamp Quarter! This Asian fusion spot is an absolute gem, both in terms of atmosphere and food. The decor is striking—the 7-foot-tall Buddha statue makes such a cool statement, and the glowing red bar top creates a warm, inviting vibe that adds to the restaurant’s modern feel. Armando was a GREAT waiter! Decor is beautiful! I made a meal out of three appetizers (cream cheese wontons = AMAZING! Filet mignon dumplings = great! Chicken satay = ok) interesting cocktail menu. I ordered the horchata matcha cocktail… interesting but not great. Bar area was packed! I don’t eat seafood so I didn’t have a lot of options but I would definitely go back!

Cool build out!! You’re going for the experience versus the food. Service was attentive until it got busy - then service fell off - delays of 5 - 15 minutes until server showed up again. Recommend going to see - wouldn’t go back.
Amazing new spot! I loved everything we tried. Delicious food & unique cocktails. Service was super friendly and the interior is so beautifully decorated. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
First timer and thought it was not only a fun atmosphere but great food & great service. The bar area is a great place to have a casual dinner & some delicious drinks. Next time I’ll try out the dining area for more of an intimate experience. 10/10 recommend!
It was DELICIOUS omg!!! New girls night spot ! Idk why the other reviews, it seems they all came from opening day when clearly that’s when it’s all trial and error. Be kind to new businesses. I am shocked for how delicious the food was! I got the lamb chops, pot stickers , sea bass and coconut shrimp!

Food was ok at best. Nothing special. Service was slow. Place is beautiful but loud!!!! Can’t talk to the person next to you. Wouldn’t go back.
