I had THR by Dr McLawhorn using the anterior method in September. I had the surgery in the morning as was back home that afternoon. Dr McLawhorn is very knowledgeable and thorough. He came highly recommended after the fact by friends who coincidentally also had used him for the same surgery. I followed all of his detailed instructions and am back playing tennis, golf and biking. He staff was very attentive and HSS is great.

Dr McLawhorn did my new bionic hip about 6 weeks ago. Looking back at the experience, I am in awe at how smooth the whole experience was. I had virtually no pain following the surgery and was back to work in two weeks. In comparing my experience with others who've had THR, I can assert that Dr McLawhorn is one of the best.
I am so grateful to Dr. McLawhorn. He is an expertly skilled surgeon. Because of his excellence and expertise, I have an amazing result from my hip replacement with a remarkably swift recovery. He is the man!
Dr. Alexander McLawhorn is an excellent surgeon. He performed a total hip replacement surgery on my right hip using the anterior method and it went perfectly well. My recovery time has been very fast. Three weeks after the operation I felt better than before the operation and now, 2 months later I feel perfectly fine. No pain, no limp. Dr McLawhorn and his staff were kind , courteous, and very personable. They make you feel extremely comfortable . The doctor himself is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met . He answered every question and was very very patient his skill level in my opinion is second to none and if I ever require another joint replacement surgery he will be my first choice .

I had a hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. McLawhorn and I was pleasantly surprised by the little pain that I had to endure and by the rapidity of the recovery. I was actually able to walk almost immediately. I would recommend Dr. Lawhorn to anyone suffering from hip pain.
I could not be happier with the result of my hip replacement surgery done by Dr. M. It was done a year ago and I've been back on the tennis court playing intense competitive singles for the past four months. My game is better than ever with absolutely no issue of any kind with my hip. I'm really surprised that it's functioning like a perfectly normal, healthy hip. Amazing.
