RecommendedI took Chewie in as an emergency case and they immediately admitted him. They commumicated and worked great with our regular vet (Dr. McCloud @ Animal Hospital of Central Brevard). Ashley, our initial vet tech, was compassionate, kind, and a pro. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Barchard. He walked into the room after an initial examination and presented a clear plan of treatment. He also called regularly to give me updates on Chewie's condition (as opposed to me having to find out). Yes it is expensive, but it is basically an ER for dogs! I saw so many dogs in there on Sunday with problems ranging from seizures to hotspots. My dog was so dehydrated she would have been in critical condition if I had to wait till Monday. Once again, it is expensive, but if it is an emergency take your pet here.
They had everything you need to handle a critical care item and their pricing was reasonable. My poor Max will take time to heal but I wondered if he would still be with us after a serious infection.
My mind was put at ease knowing my lil pug was gonna be ok!!! Awesome Doc and staff!!!!
Always listen to your inner voice- and that of the pet that adopted you & your family!!! Our vet, Dr. Wigglesworth, sent us here after I brought one of our 2 cats in unscheduled. Our 7 year-old, Probie, was diagnosed with an enlarged, non- functioning kidney filled with liquid. Was told I caught it in time. �. We arrived the next morning, and the entire staff set our expectations. With a heavy heart (knowing there are always surgical risks) I left him there for surgery the same day for kidney removal.
