Where do I start? First Ashton Homes in general was a huge let down. The only solid person that we worked with for that company was James. He was always on top of his game and made sure things happened in a timely manner. This was my wife and I first time buying a home. It was the most stressful experience we have had purchasing anything ever. Ive never seen my wife so stressed and brought to tears so frequently. We had an awful experience with this lender. Almost no communication. Constantly missing dates/deadlines. And the icing on the cake for me was when I was asked for a copy of my wife’s drivers license, for the 4th time, the day before closing… pick literally any other lender and you’re far more likely to have a better outcome.

Very Polite, professional loan officers but I cannot say the same for the underwriting process. I started the loan process with Velocio Mortgage for the purchase of my new built home, 8 months before the loan closed. The entire process leading up to underwriting went smooth and the whole process was mapped out on their easy to navigate, loan portal. Horrible. Very little communication. Had to send the same documents multiple times. She didn’t send everything through underwriting when we were supposed to close. She had another person reach out for documents I sent her. She forgot the title policy fee in our closing costs. And finally, there was never a final inspection done on the house. Very poor

Everything was great until we signed the paperwork for our new home. I’ve been trying to contact someone in regards about a check I received through mail without a justification letter. I haven’t heard back nor have I received a copy of the justification letter. I also had questions about my mortgage payments. The only time I’ve been contacted was to ask me for a copy of my tax exemption letter. But, when I in return ask them if my mortgage payments are going to change due to tax exemptions, I can’t get a hold of anyone. Now... read more
