A short summary of my long review ---> bring your pets here. This is absolutely a vet's office that you can trust with your animals - I can promise you that. They have a wide range of services, with staff and veterinarians who are so great at making your pets comfortable each time you bring them in. Our dogs don't even protest when they realize they've just pulled up to the vet's office - all 3 dogs are excited to get inside and see/play with the staff. We were in Boone in vacation when my dog started having ear problems. Dr K was great very thorough and kind. It’s nice now to have a “go to” vet when we are in the mountains

I had a Caracal bottle fed baby in 1996 and the staff was wonderful when I boarded Simba. I got her shots and she was declawed her too.
ANRV takes EXCELLENT care of both my fur babies-Ping Pong (9 years) and Waffle (5 months). We’ve taken advantage of the Paw Plan-great price for the care plan! We’ve also been seen for a spay for Waffle and an emergency care after an allergic reaction for Ping. This team truly cares about its patients!
This place is like a second family to my “kids” and me. They love on my dogs and have helped us through some scary illnesses and injuries. Dr. McAdams and Dr. Kreis have always been available and helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!
I love this team! I take both of our dogs to Appalachian New River. They go for veterinary services and boarding. In addition to being a dog owner, I am a dog behavior consultant and trainer. The clinic takes a Fear Free approach to their veterinary care, which I appreciate. Highly recommend.
